MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA: Official Manga Reader

MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA is a comics reading application by Shueisha that delivers the latest manga chapters daily, released simultaneously with Japan. It solves the problem of waiting weeks or months for official translations by offering current chapters of popular series like One Piece, Chainsaw Man, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, 【OSHI NO KO】, Dandadan, and Red Cat Ramen at the same time they appear in Japan. The app lets readers enjoy the first three and newest three chapters of most series for free, and for certain ongoing titles such as SPY x FAMILY, Kaiju No.8 (Monster #8), and Kagurabachi, all currently available chapters in English can be read once at no cost. A subscription option called MANGA Plus MAX removes ads and unlocks over 17,000 English chapters globally, with Standard and Deluxe tiers covering ongoing series or ongoing plus completed classics like Dragon Ball, NARUTO, BLEACH, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Death Note, Tokyo Ghoul, Haikyuu! and Bakuman. Being an official service, it directs support to the original creators. The app is free to install, includes ads, and offers in-app purchases, with the current version at 2.7.0 and a Teen content rating.

Latest changes · 2.7.0

Version 2.7.0, released September 28, 2026, includes changes intended to improve the app experience. The update notes do not specify individual fixes or new features.

This app suits manga readers who want same-day official English releases of major Shueisha series without waiting for print or fan-translation pipelines. It is especially good for fans of One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, and similar ongoing titles who are comfortable with a freemium model: free users get the first and latest three chapters, while committed readers can subscribe for ad-free unlimited access. It also appeals to people exploring completed classics like Dragon Ball or Death Note through the Deluxe Plan, though those need a paid subscription. Readers in Japan, China, and Korea should note that some subscription features and titles are not available in those regions.

Use the free one-time reading of all current English chapters for select ongoing titles to evaluate a series before subscribing, and remember that you can switch between Standard and Deluxe plans depending on whether you follow ongoing stories or want access to completed classics.

MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA is a practical, official way to keep up with major manga series on the same day they launch in Japan. Its freemium structure offers real value for casual readers, while the subscription tiers serve dedicated fans who want broader, ad-free access.
